After-School Program Expectations
SEALTeam After-School Program | 2025–2026
As a SEALTeam family, we want to ensure you understand and are aligned with the following expectations while enrolled in our program:
- Families are responsible for understanding the payment schedule and adhering to any agreed-upon payment terms.
- Consistent attendance is critical to maintaining enrollment and keeping the program affordable through our grant funding.
- Absences must be communicated to SEALTeam staff at info@teamnitromma.com; documentation may be requested when applicable.
- Students must be picked up by 6:00 PM daily. Late pick-up fees are $20 for the first 10 minutes, plus $1 for each additional minute. After 3 late pick-ups, students may be removed from the program.
- All students must be signed in and out each day by an authorized adult.
- For safety and comfort during martial arts training, students should wear shorts or leggings with a secure drawstring or elastic waist and a full T-shirt (no tank tops, crop tops, or sleeveless shirts). Students will train barefoot on the mat, and all jewelry, watches, or accessories must be removed. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately each day for full participation.
- Families should review and support the Code of Conduct to help maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
- Any changes to contact information, enrollment status, or authorized pickups must be promptly communicated to staff.
- Cell phones will not be permitted during after-school programming, with exceptions during academic sessions for online homework/classwork and for designated technology time.
We appreciate your partnership and look forward to a strong year of growth, leadership, and community!
Cell Phone & Technology Policy Update
As shared in recent communications, we’ve updated our cell phone and technology policy to align with Florida’s new state standards and to help maintain focus and engagement during our after-school sessions.
Phones will remain secured in the school lock box through the after-school program unless a middle or high school student has verified online homework that requires access. Students may only use devices during academic time for educational purposes.
If a student is found using a phone for personal reasons (social media, texting, games, etc.), they will lose the privilege of accessing their phone before dismissal. Repeat offenses may result in suspension or further disciplinary action, consistent with Impact Christian Academy’s policy.
Parents needing to reach their child during program hours may call the front desk at (904) 652–1441, and press “0” for the operator., and students may request to call parents through the front office if needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is my child guaranteed a spot once I apply?
A: No, submitting an application does not confirm enrollment. Our team will review applications and respond within 1–2 business days. If a group is full, your child will be placed on a waitlist.
Q: What’s included in the $1/day program?
A: All academic support, enrichment activities, supplies, snacks, and daily MMA training are included at no additional cost beyond the flat fee.
Q: Is transportation provided?
A: At this time, transportation is not provided. Parents/guardians are responsible for daily pickup by 6:00 PM.
Q: What if my child is absent? Do I get a refund?
A: The program is offered at a flat rate regardless of absences. No refunds or prorated adjustments will be made.
Q: If my child is an Impact athlete or the child of a staff member, do I need to pay?
A: If your child is a verified Impact athlete or the child of an Impact or SEALTeam staff member, the program fee will be waived—regardless of season status or staff role. However, the one-time $20 registration fee per student is still required.
Q: What is the best way to contact the program?
A: The best way to reach us is by email at info@teamnitromma.com. Once enrolled, families can also submit questions or concerns using the Contact Form available on our Family Portal webpage.
During after-school program hours, you may also call us at (904) 652–1441, and press “0” for the operator.
Q: Will there be an orientation for parents?
A: Yes! We will host a Parent Orientation / Open House for all enrolled families on August 28, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM (4-5 Elementary | 5-6 Middle/High).
Q: What happens if my child is absent?
A: We understand that occasional absences happen. However, because our program is grant-funded, regular attendance is required to maintain enrollment. Students must attend at least 90 minutes per day for 80% of the program’s open days each month. Missing this threshold for two consecutive months may place enrollment at risk.
If your child will be absent, please email us at info@teamnitromma.com. We may request documentation (such as a doctor’s note or team schedule) in certain cases.
